The Backstamp
Pottery and porcelain marks, traced to the reference that records them.
A mark on the base of a piece is the most direct evidence of who made it and when. This site transcribes what one standard nineteenth-century reference records for each factory, cites the page, shows the scan, and keeps the source's own doubts visible.
It is deliberately narrow. What it covers, and what it does not, is worth reading before you rely on it.
